The Real America?

you hear it all the time…..what do “real” Americans think?……that’s out of step with “real” Americans…..this is the mantra from the right when trying to discredit any thing they consider “liberal”…….

another phrase is “the heartland”…..”people in the “heartland” this…people in the “heartland” that…”

 

I’m sorry but most of the US population is on either coast, yet we’re dismissed as not “truly America” ….our ideals are not in step with what “real” Americans want….well, if the majority of the population lives a certain way and thinks a certain way, is that not truly how the country feels?  why are we made to feel like we are out of the mainstream when we are the mainstream, and who made these pundits the voice of true Americans.  they all live on either coast in their million dollar homes getting paid obscene amounts of money for doing very, very little…….

Gay, The New Black?

it seems to me that in recent years there is one group were it is OK to be outwardly prejudice and bigoted against….where everyone from politicians, religious leaders, talking heads, right wing radio, and anyone who chooses can say hateful things against, call unworthy of fundamental rights, mock, and out right bash….GAYS….

 

now with California legalizing same sex marriages, the assault begins again.  there will be a parade of bigots across our TVs crying for amendments banning such unions all in the name of god.  it’s so sad to see these people go unchecked.   they cry about “activist judges”, the same ones that ended our long shameful treatment of blacks, to be removed from the bench, just as they did in the 50’s and 60’s…..would we really want to live in the world these people truly want….?

god, I wish I had that much influence………..in the past week they’ve called Obama’s fist pump with his wife a “terrorist symbol”, referred to his wife as his “baby mama”, reported rumors as facts in regards to his wife and insinuated that his intentions for wanting to be president are unseemly……

 

I really wish that every one with a Nielsen box that only watched fox because they were morbidly curious, would stop…their ratings would plummet by 50% I suspect…..then maybe we’d be rid of the bimbo “news anchors”, the retarded blowhards, and that freak Hannity……..

Obama/Clinton

would be unbeatable…..I truly hope he puts her on the ticket, there should be no hesitation.   all the pundits claiming it would be a disaster are afraid it’ll be a runaway………this country is in desperate need of something and someone to rally behind…..our national pride is tarnished and we need unifying leadership to bring us back from the brink…..

 

all these conservatives that constantly bring up Obama’s preachers and “questionable” friends, what do they think he’ll do if he is elected? enslave the white race? pillage the rich and give to the poor? empty the jails? I mean seriously…….why do they think he’s running? to destroy America? lets hope that with the change that is coming these idiots like O’Reilly, Hannity, and Limbaugh will become extinct as well….

 

this election season is one of the most exciting in my life time and I am so looking forward to what the future holds…………
